Dr. Antoinette M. Gomez earned her Doctorate from Arogsy University. She holds a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy and is a Registered Play Therapist- S (Supervisor).  She holds licensure of LMFT and LCSW in PA and Colorado.

She has worked with children since 2003. Her belief is “restore happiness in the soul.”

Dr. Gomez is also a mediator and Child Family Investigator.  She has experience working with high-conflict families. She is familiar with evidenced models and has received training in Functional Family Therapy and Familias Unidas models.

She earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) at The University of Denver and holds a Master of Arts from Clark Atlanta University (Atlanta, GA) and a Bachelor of Science with Honors from Penn State University. During the course of her 14-year career, Antoinette has provided counseling, case management, and psychotherapy to children, adolescents, couples, families, and individuals.

Antoinette specializes in working with individuals, families, and couples in the area of relationship enhancement and early childhood trauma resolution. She helps her clients examine themselves in the context of their most important relationships. She coaches clients to improve communication skills, resolve conflict and develop the ability to express feelings in healthier ways. In addition, she serves as a Certified Addictions Counselor, Child Family Investigator, and Divorce and Family Mediator.

When working with individuals in therapy, Antoinette encourages her clients to openly and safely explore how their early experiences and primary relationships have impacted their development. This can be the first step to identifying unproductive behaviors and patterns and moving towards lasting change.

When working with couples in therapy, Antoinette coaches clients to develop the skills necessary to create safe, loving, secure bonds. She practices from an attachment theory model, which holds that healthy adult relationships are the by-product of secure emotional bonds.

Antoinette also offers parenting classes, discreet one-on-one DUI counseling, and classes for those who want to maintain confidentiality. She works with divorcing, separated, and divorced parents by providing parent-child counseling and co-parenting classes in her practice. As a CFI and Mediator, Antoinette can provide years of experience in court reporting, expert witness, and helping to develop parenting plans as well as performing court order evaluations and reports.

Antoinette is known for her relaxed, comfortable approach and is skilled at helping clients understand the underlying relationship dynamics that have contributed to conflict and distress in their relationships. Her approach often helps clients to understand how their early primary relationships (family of origin) may shape their current behaviors and relationship history. She encourages clients to take appropriate responsibility, make individual changes, and discover their true power in creating healthier, more harmonic relationships, with themselves and others. She guest lectures at Metropolitan State University, University of Denver, Denver Family Therapy Institute, and Colorado School for Family Therapy. In addition, she consults with clinical teams, independent file audits/quality management, and provides training in cultural competency (in particular working with minority clients).
